This integrated program is unlike any other Youth English Camp in Kelowna and Victoria as it will include International and Domestic students.

We will provide students with Orientation packages prior to their arrival to ensure they feel prepared for their journey to Canada.  The material will help students gain a better understanding of Canadian culture – family life, food, education, leisure activities, etc.  Students will receive information on their home stay families and they will have the opportunity to begin corresponding with them prior to their arrival in Canada.  We have very high expectations of our host families.  As well, our Home stay Coordinator visits all families in their homes regularily.

Our camp staff will include qualified teachers, activity leaders and a Camp Coordinator.  We can assure you and your group that we treat our students as respected family members in our homes.  Our staff members are experienced in planning well balanced educational ESL programs and implementing a wide variety of recreational, social and cultural activities.

On the first day, Orientation Day, students are assessed – Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.  Our Theme trained curriculum includes: Listening, Speaking, Conversation, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, afternoon and weekend activities (optional).  Our program is well-balanced and will certainly meet the learning styles and interests of all participants.  Each week we focus on a different theme and relate many of our class exercises/lessons and after-school activities accordingly.

Theme training may include some of the following areas:

  • Canadian Culture
  • Extreme Sports
  • Friends and Family
  • Travel and Leisure
  • Culture and Society British Columbia/Canada
  • Arts and Entertainment
  • Pop Culture

Teachers plan their lessons based on the themes of the program and the specific needs of their students.  All educators ensure that all areas of the English language are covered.  Lesson plans, assessment tools and report cards are filled out and submitted to the Camp Coordinator on a weekly basis.  As well, students receive certificates upon successful completion of the program.

Canadian students will also participate in afternoon activities. This integrated program that includes international and domestic students is unlike any other Youth English Camp in Kelowna and Victoria.
